Indorama Ventures Secures ISCC+ Certification For Three Fibre Plants
Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited (IVL) has achieved ISCC+ certification for three additional fibre manufacturing sites, bringing the total to nine certified locations. This milestone underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and circular economy practices.
The new certifications cover mass-balanced polyamides PA6.6 and PA4.6 from Obernburg, Germany, and Pizzighettone, Italy, which reduce GHG emissions by approximately 55%. The bio-based PA4.10 (M.B.) yarn from Obernburg, made from 100% bio-content polymers, also significantly lowers GHG emissions. Additionally, recycled PET yarns and tyre cord fabric produced at Kaiping, China, highlight the company’s dedication to circular practices.
ISCC+ certification is a globally recognized standard for sustainable production, ensuring responsible sourcing and processing of materials. Renato Boaventura, Chief Commercial Officer of Mobility at Indorama Ventures, stated: “In addition to our already ISCC+ certified viscose yarn plant in the Czech Republic, we are proud to have three more sites certified, thanks to the diligent efforts of our teams. These certifications reinforce our commitment to expanding our portfolio of sustainable fibres for the tyre and automotive industries, including airbags. Our new range of recycled and bio-polyamide and recycled PET will help our customers meet their CO2 footprint goals with certified traceability of raw materials.”
