Intertextile Shenzhen 2026 Highlights Sustainability And Innovation, Attracts 20,000+ Visits

Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics 2026 concluded on June 11 after attracting more than 20,000 visits from 74 countries and regions, reinforcing its position as a leading sourcing platform for South China’s textile and apparel industry.

Held alongside Yarn Expo Shenzhen and PH Value, the fair featured nearly 620 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions, showcasing a broad range of innovative materials, sustainable solutions and premium textile products. Organisers attributed the rise in international participation to Shenzhen’s growing role as an innovation hub within the Greater Bay Area and China’s visa-free travel initiatives.

This year’s edition introduced two new knowledge-sharing platforms, the Future Horizons Forum and the Innovation Studio, which focused on sustainability, advanced materials, AI applications and next-generation textile technologies. The programmes brought together industry experts, universities and organisations to discuss the future of textile manufacturing and circularity.

According to Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the event’s renewed focus on innovation has strengthened its appeal among global buyers and exhibitors.

The fair welcomed sourcing teams from leading international brands, including Adidas, American Eagle and Lululemon, alongside major Chinese fashion companies. Overseas buyer delegations from Southeast Asia also participated, reflecting growing regional collaboration.

Exhibitors reported strong visitor traffic and high-quality business enquiries, particularly for sustainable materials, natural fibres, digital solutions and premium textiles. Buyers highlighted the fair’s efficient business matching programme and the diverse mix of international suppliers, while exhibitors noted increasing demand from the Greater Bay Area for high-value, innovation-driven textile products.

With sustainability, digitalisation and material innovation taking centrestage, Intertextile Shenzhen 2026 further strengthened its role as an important business platform connecting global suppliers with South China’s fast-evolving textile and apparel market.
