ITTA Meets New Minister Of Textiles To Discuss Future Of Technical Textiles
The Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA) had a highly productive and cordial meeting with the new Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, in New Delhi on June 13, 2024.
During the meeting, ITTA provided an overview of its activities and achievements over the past decade in the field of technical textiles. The association highlighted its ongoing efforts and innovations, which have significantly contributed to advancements in this sector.
Giriraj Singh shared his insightful vision for the future of technical textiles, emphasizing the importance of integrating emerging technologies with cost-effective strategies to ensure widespread adoption. He particularly focused on the areas of Agrotech, Geotech, Protective Wear, and Carbon & Glass Fibre, underscoring the need for innovative approaches that can drive mass dissemination and make a substantial impact.
Singh also encouraged ITTA’s active participation in various governmental interventions and initiatives aimed at fostering growth and development within the industry. His support and encouragement have further strengthened ITTA’s resolve to continue its mission with renewed vigor.
The meeting was also attended by Kumar Priyadarshi, IAS, Private Secretary to the Honorable Minister, and Raman, IAS, whose presence and contributions added significant value to the discussions.
