Jan To Sept Chinese Textile & Apparel Exports Drop 9.2%
In the first three quarters of 2023, China’s exports of textiles and clothing declined 9.2 percent as against same period of earlier year to US $245.72 billion.
Among these, textile shipments amounted to $112.55 billion, down 9.8 percent, while apparel shipments reached $133.16 billion, a drop of 8.7 percent year on year.
For the month of October, textile and garment exports fell 4.8 percent from a year ago month to $22.97 billion.
Of these exports in October, textile exports touched $10.71 billion, falling by 3.3 percent, while garment exports stood at $12.26 billion, descending 6.0 percent over the same month of earlier year.
