Kasturi Cotton Expands Network With Sultania Oil Industries
Kasturi Cotton representatives carried out a technical review at Sultania Oil Industries in Kalmeshwar, Maharashtra, as part of its ongoing engagement with ginning units across the country to strengthen quality and traceability standards in Indian cotton.
The visit included a detailed factory tour focused on ginning practices, process controls, and contamination prevention protocols. According to officials present during the review, the unit demonstrated a high level of hygiene, operational discipline and contamination-free handling, key criteria for alignment with Kasturi Cotton standards.
Following the assessment, Sultania Oil Industries agreed to register under the Kasturi Cotton Bharat programme and committed to offering cotton bales for Kasturi Cotton certification.
Industry observers view the development as a positive step for strengthening the Kasturi Cotton ecosystem, as the programme aims to position Indian cotton as premium, traceable and contamination-free in global markets. The initiative has been gaining momentum with increasing participation from ginning units, traders and downstream textile value chain stakeholders.
