Le Merite Exports Secures Land For Rs 160 Cr Textile Unit In Amravati

Le Merite Exports Ltd., a prominent player in the textile industry, has received official land allotment approval from the Land Allotment Committee (LAC) for setting up a large-scale textile manufacturing facility at the Additional Amravati (Textile Park) Industrial Area.
As per the LAC minutes dated May 16, 2025, the company has been allotted 65,000 square metres of land under the MSME reservation category. The allotment follows the shifting of MSME plots T-40, 48, 49, 60, and 61, as approved by the CEO of MIDC on March 17, 2025.
The proposed unit will engage in the spinning of cotton yarn and weaving of greige fabric, with a planned built-up area of 26,000 square metres and an overall investment of Rs 160.88 crore. The project is expected to generate 350 jobs and contribute significantly to local employment and industrial growth.
Abhishek Lath, Managing Director and CFO of Le Merite Exports Ltd., represented the company during the application process and site visits. The proposal also highlighted infrastructure requirements such as 3000 KW power, 175 M3/day of water and Rs 125 crore worth of plant and machinery.
