Uzbekistan And Taiwan Initiate Dialogue On Strengthening Textile Industry Ties
In a move to bolster international cooperation in the textile sector, Chairman of Uztextileprom, Mirmukhsin Sultanov, met with Lo Tszin Ju, Head of the Taipei-Moscow Coordination Commission Office. The meeting, also attended by representatives from “Towards Taiwan” and industry experts, marked a significant step toward expanding bilateral engagement.
Key discussions focused on the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Taiwan Textile Federation. The MoU aims to facilitate the adoption of advanced textile technologies, enhance workforce capabilities and promote sustainable production methods.
The parties also explored avenues for exporting Uzbek textile products to Taiwan. Additionally, Taiwanese companies were extended an invitation to participate in UzTextileExpo 2025, set to take place in Tashkent this October.
