MoT Hosts Two-Day Workshop To Strengthen Financial Governance
The Ministry of Textiles (MoT), in association with the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), successfully organised a two-day workshop for Finance Officers on 23–24 May 2026 to enhance financial governance and strengthen institutional financial management practices.
Conducted by the Office of the Chief Controller of Accounts (O/o CCA) under the chairmanship of the Special Secretary & Financial Advisor, the workshop brought together 56 finance officers representing various organisations and divisions under the Ministry of Textiles.
The workshop focused on key aspects of public financial management, including expenditure planning, procurement procedures, internal audit mechanisms, budgetary discipline, and compliance frameworks.
It also served as a collaborative platform for participants to exchange operational experiences, share best practices, and discuss practical challenges in financial administration. Officers offered valuable suggestions aimed at strengthening financial governance, improving internal controls, and enhancing efficiency in financial processes across the Ministry’s institutions.
