KARL MAYER Deepens Customer Engagement In Türkiye Ahead Of ITM 2026

Strengthening its longstanding commitment to the Turkish textile industry, KARL MAYER recently hosted a dedicated Customer Insight Week in Türkiye, strengthening strategic partnerships and deepening collaboration with customers ahead of ITM 2026.
Türkiye has remained one of KARL MAYER’s most significant markets for decades. The partnership dates back to 1951, when the first KARL MAYER warp knitting machine was delivered to Bursa and installed by Karl Mayer himself, laying the foundation for a relationship built on trust, innovation, and mutual growth.
Building on this legacy, the Get-together Week, held in early May, provided a valuable platform for the global textile machinery leader to engage directly with customers, discuss market developments, and align on future opportunities and shared goals.
“For us, Türkiye is much more than just a market, it is a central part of our future, which we want to build together. Our customers’ success is our benchmark. We think and develop from textile to machine, with a clear focus on innovation, enabling new applications, and delivering speed,” said Lutz Wolf, CEO of KARL MAYER.

The initiative brought together senior management and technical experts from Germany and Türkiye, along with regional partner Erko, for extensive customer visits, management discussions, and technical engagements hosted at KARL MAYER’s Bursa facility.
A key highlight of the week was the in-house event, “Let’s Talk Warp Knit,” which welcomed around 40 customers. The event featured technical presentations, hands-on workshops, and focused micro-training sessions designed to address varying levels of expertise.
Sessions covered the latest developments in tricot machine technology, previews of innovations to be showcased at ITM 2026, and textile solutions specifically developed for the Turkish market. Customers also gained insights into KARL MAYER’s service capabilities and the opportunities offered by the newly established TEXTILE INNOVATION CENTER at the company’s headquarters in Obertshausen, Germany.

The interactive discussions generated valuable market insights, helping KARL MAYER identify emerging opportunities, particularly in design fabrics for fashion and apparel. Growing interest was noted in flexibly configurable jacquard patterns, lace structures, and crepe-like textured apparel fabrics.
Reflecting these market trends, KARL MAYER will showcase the HKS 4-M EL ECO, a highly efficient production machine, at ITM 2026, taking place from 9–13 June 2026 at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center, Istanbul, where the company will be exhibiting at Booth 3/303 A.
