The Craft Bazar attracted visitors, including students, faculty, and craft enthusiasts, providing a platform to explore and support artisan-led businesses. An Artisan Awareness Workshop held on 5th and 6th March 2025 covered key topics such as Craft Policies and Market Skills, Origami Packaging, Product Diversification, Ergonomics, and Mobile Photography with Social Media Presence. The sessions aimed to help artisans enhance their skills and expand their market reach. The event also featured live craft demonstrations by handicraft and handloom artisans.
NIFT Mumbai also celebrated its annual fest Spectrum’25 on 7th and 8th March 2025. The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Harsh Gupta, founder of Harsh Harsh Label, along with Guest of Honour Archana Pardhaan, Tehesildaar, Revenue & Forest, and Sizil Srivastava, founder of Lifafa Studios.
This year’s Spectrum theme, ‘ILLUSIA,’ explored a surrealist world where fantasy meets reality through a vibrant blend of colors and textures. The darker undertones symbolized the unconscious mind and how creativity often thrives in darkness. The event featured a range of sports, literary, film and photography, and cultural events catering to diverse talents. Students also participated in workshops and showcased their creative work at Meena Bazar.
The Craft Bazar, Artisan Awareness Workshop, and Spectrum’25 created a vibrant platform to celebrate India’s cultural heritage and creativity. NIFT Mumbai remains committed to preserving and promoting traditional crafts while encouraging students to explore artistic expression and innovation.
