Odisha TEX 2025 Set To Boost Textile Investments

The Odisha government is set to host the inaugural edition of ODISHA TEX 2025, Eastern India’s largest textile investment summit, on July 25 at the State Convention Centre in Bhubaneswar. The summit aims to position Odisha as a premier destination for investment in textiles, apparels, technical textiles, footwear, and accessories.
The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and will see participation from over 300 delegates representing major textile hubs such as Tirupur, Bengaluru, Surat, NCR, as well as states like Punjab and West Bengal.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, Hemant Sharma, stated that the summit will offer a vital platform for leading global brands, manufacturers, startups, and professionals to explore Odisha’s textile potential. “With progressive policies, world-class infrastructure, and a skilled workforce, Odisha is developing a robust textile ecosystem that will drive industrial growth, rural transformation, and women’s empowerment,” Sharma said.
As industry partner, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is coordinating with major sectoral associations to ensure broad industry participation across fibres, textiles, apparels, hosiery, and wearables. The summit is expected to witness significant investment announcements and MoU signings with top industry players.
The state will officially launch six new textile parks during the summit. Designed with world-class facilities, these parks are ready to host apparel and wearable manufacturers, reinforcing the government’s commitment to making Odisha the “Textile Capital of India” by 2030.
ODISHA TEX 2025 builds on the momentum of the Utkarsh Odisha – Make-in-Odisha Conclave, which earlier this year drew investment intents worth over Rs 7,000 crore, with potential to generate over 88,000 jobs. The upcoming summit signals Odisha’s ambition to become a national textile hub and a catalyst for inclusive industrial growth.
