Our Fans Are Engineered To Deliver Higher Air Flow With Lower Power: Devaganeshan

Over the years, we have partnered with leading textile manufacturers, providing customised solutions that enhance air circulation, optimise humidity distribution and significantly reduce power consumption saving crores in electricity bills, says R. Devaganeshan.

Tell us about Tesco Fanz and its journey in providing industrial fan and ventilation solutions to the textile industry?
Tesco Fanz is a specialised engineering company focused on delivering high-performance, energy-efficient industrial fan solutions. Our journey began with a strong commitment to solving airflow and energy challenges in textile mills, where ventilation and humidification play a critical role in productivity and yarn quality. Over the years, we have partnered with leading textile manufacturers, providing customised solutions that enhance air circulation, optimise humidity distribution and significantly reduce power consumption saving crores in electricity bills.

What inspired the company to specialise in energy-efficient fan technology, particularly for textile mills and manufacturing facilities?
The textile industry is highly energy-intensive similar to iron and steel, cement, chemical, mining, etc., with a significant portion of electricity consumed by conventional fan systems. We identified a clear gap where traditional fans were inefficient and costly to operate. This inspired us to focus on developing advanced, power-saving fan technologies that not only reduce energy consumption but also improve airflow performance, making them ideal for textile mills and other industrial applications.

Over the years, how has Tesco Fanz evolved in terms of technology, product range and market reach?
Tesco Fanz has continuously evolved by integrating advanced aerodynamic designs, high-efficiency motors and robust materials into our products. Our product range has expanded beyond textile applications to include mining industries, power plants, heavy-duty diesel generators, heat exchangers, radiator cooling, agricultural sprayers and anti-smog systems. In terms of market reach, we have grown from serving regional clients to international clients, catering to industries across multiple states and sectors.

What are some of your flagship fan solutions and how do they address the airflow, humidification and energy efficiency requirements of textile mills?
Our flagship solutions include high-efficiency humidification fans and industrial ventilation fans designed specifically for textile environments. These fans ensure uniform air distribution, consistent humidity levels (RH) and improved air velocity across the department. By optimising blade design and blade angle, our systems deliver superior airflow while consuming significantly less power compared to conventional fans.

Energy consumption is a major concern for manufacturers today. How do Tesco Fanz’s solutions help mills optimise energy usage and reduce operational costs?
Our fans are engineered to deliver higher air flow with lower power. By replacing conventional fans with Tesco Fanz systems, mills can achieve substantial reductions in kW consumption. We also provide detailed power-saving report based on actual running parameters such as load, current, hertz, static pressure and department air volume. This allows customers to clearly understand their RoI (Return on Investment), achieving payback within a short period of 3–6 months.

Could you elaborate on the engineering and design approach behind your fans that ensures durability, performance and efficiency in demanding industrial environments?
Our design is centred on aerodynamic concept, material strength and long-term reliability. Our fans are crafted using high pressure die-cast aluminium alloy hubs with high-precision airfoil designed vibration stabilized glass reinforced polyamide blades. We use precision-engineered polyamide blades, optimised angles and high-grade materials to ensure consistent performance. Each fan is designed to operate efficiently under harsh industrial conditions, including high temperatures, cotton dust and continuous operation. Rigorous testing and quality control ensure durability and minimal maintenance.

How does Tesco Fanz work with textile manufacturers to customise ventilation solutions based on different mill layouts and production needs?
We follow a trail model approach suitable as per their requirement. Our team analyse plant motor load details and humidification requirements. Based on this data, we recommend customised fan configurations and placements to achieve desired results. Tesco Fanz implement as retrofit, where the existing motor and civil structure is not disturbed. We support paid trial installations, allowing customers to evaluate performance and energy savings before full-scale implementation.

With sustainability becoming a key focus in the textile industry, how are your products contributing to greener and more energy-efficient manufacturing operations?
Our products directly contribute to sustainability by reducing energy consumption, thus resulting in reduced carbon emissions. Lower power usage translates to reduced environmental impact. Additionally, improved airflow and humidity control enhance working conditions of the workers inside the spinning and weaving mill, supporting overall sustainable manufacturing practices.

Looking ahead, what are the company’s strategic priorities for innovation, expansion and strengthening its presence in the textile sector?
Our focus is on continuous innovation in fan technology. We aim to expand our presence across key textile hubs and strengthen partnerships with large-scale yarn manufacturers. Additionally, we are exploring new industrial (processing) segments while reinforcing our leadership in the textile sector.
