PHDCCI To Host 4th Sustainable Textile Summit In Delhi On Sept 17

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) will host the fourth edition of its Sustainable Textile Summit on September 17, 2025, at the Lakshmipat Singhania Auditorium, PHD House, New Delhi. The annual event has emerged as a key platform for charting India’s path toward greener and more circular textile production.

Themed ‘Innovating Towards a Sustainable Future: Collaborative Strategies in the Textile Industry,’ the 2025 summit will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, global experts, foreign missions and innovators to deliberate on environmental challenges, policy reforms, financing models and technological interventions aimed at making the sector more climate-resilient.

Senior officials and industry representatives scheduled to speak include Roop Rashi, CEO of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC); Cristiano Pasini, Director and UNIDO Representative in India; Debabrata Ghosh, VP & Head of Sales & Marketing, Oerlikon Textile India; Rajeev Gupta, Joint MD, RSWM Limited, along with officials from the Ministry of Textiles, SIDBI, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Fairtrade.

The one-day programme will open with discussions on global sustainability imperatives and public-private partnerships, followed by three sessions on green policy reforms, MSME financing for sustainability, brand-driven circularity initiatives and innovations in recycling and responsible production.

The summit, expected to draw more than 200 delegates, is supported by Oerlikon Textile India, RSWM, Fairtrade, Centre for Social Markets, and Filatex India as associate partners. BIS and the Polyester Textile Apparel Industry Association are supporting partners, while Texfash.com, Textile Insights and Textile Value Chain are media partners.
