Primark To Open First Saudi Arabia Store In Riyadh

International fashion retailer Primark will open its first store in Saudi Arabia in March 2027, in partnership with Alshaya Group.
The store will be located at The Avenues – Riyadh, a major retail and leisure development scheduled to open in March 2027. The expansion will take Primark’s presence to five countries in the region and 22 countries globally.
The move follows the retailer’s recent expansion in the UAE, where it opened stores at Dubai Mall, City Centre Mirdif and Mall of the Emirates, as well as its operations in Kuwait.
Primark CEO Eoin Tonge said the strong response to its stores in Kuwait and Dubai had reinforced the company’s confidence in the region. “Saudi Arabia is an important next step in our growth, and we’re pleased to be building on our partnership with Alshaya to bring Primark here next,” he said.
Alshaya Group CEO John Hadden said the Riyadh store would be the first of several Primark locations planned for the Kingdom.
The Avenues – Riyadh will span 390,000 square metres of land, with more than 400,000 square metres of gross leasable area. Alshaya has also agreed to invest more than $ 150 million in the development, with plans to open 100 stores from its portfolio and create over 2,500 opportunities for Saudi nationals.
Primark is also scheduled to open stores in Bahrain on September 23 and Qatar on October 29, 2026.
