Saurer Launches Zinser 51 In Gujarat

Saurer proudly introduced the latest Zinser 51 ring spinning machine at a partner event held recently for customers and journalists in Karjan, Gujarat. Designed for the future of textile manufacturing, the Zinser 51 is available in both ring-spinning and compact-spinning configurations, setting new benchmarks in, flexibility, energy saving efficiency and automation.

A key highlight of the event was the dynamic exchange between Saurer and its customers. Saurer firmly believes that understanding the detailed needs of spinning mills is essential to developing machinery that drives the future of the textile industry.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Saurer CEO, Hailin Xu, followed by presentations of the Zinser 51 ring spinning machine, the Autospeed 5A roving frame, and Saurer’s advanced automation solutions. Guests were offered a guided tour of the Karjan manufacturing site with firsthand insights. The live demonstration of the Zinser 51 proved to be the highlight of the tour, attracting great interest from attendees. The day concluded with opportunities for customers, partners, and Saurer experts to further engage and exchange ideas about the future of textile production.

What makes the Zinser 51 the star of the show?
At 2,056 spindles, the Zinser 51 is the longest ring spinning machine with a maintenance-free middle drive and robust design. This makes it ideal for a wide range of fibres and applications – from cotton, viscose and synthetic fibres and blends to recycled materials, and with options for fancy, core or Siro spun yarns.

Event technical and industrial yarns including aramid, glass fibre, and high-tensile carbon can be spun on the Zinser 51. The unparalleled flexibility makes the Zinser 51 the solution of choice for spinning mills aiming to optimise performance and expand their yarn portfolio.

With Easyspin technology, users can seamlessly switch between different yarn types and lot sizes, achieving maximum flexibility and minimised changeover times. The Zinser 51 delivers consistent yarn quality, even at full length, while its high-end components ensure increased productivity and reduced energy costs.

Monitoring of energy savings:
Reduce your energy consumption significantly with Twinsuction and Optisuction systems, the newly developed suction systems integrated with proven energy-saving technologies. Thanks to the energy monitoring of Zinser 51, customers can benefit from maximum cost transparency.

Efficient high-speed spinning:
The innovative NSD-i drafting system ensures uniform yarn quality across the machine’s entire length, reducing operator workload and expediting lot changes. The Flexidriver NFD intermediate drive guarantees consistent yarn quality even in extra-long machine setups, while premium components like Texparts spindles and the Spinnfinity system support high-speed spinning up to 30,000 rpm.

Customised Automation
To further enhance operational efficiency, Saurer offers a comprehensive portfolio of automation solutions, tailored to meet the unique needs of spinning mills. As an expert engineering partner, Saurer provides fully integrated automation systems that span the entire textile value chain. These modular solutions from automatic bale and can transport to roving bobbin handling, doffing, and cone transport are designed for seamless integration into existing processes, addressing the growing demand for cost-effective, reliable automation. Saurer CEO Hailin Xu

P. Sivakumar, Head- Global Sales and Product Management (Ring BU), states, “Today, spinners operate with extremely thin margins. Optimising every element of production is critical. The Zinser 51 plays a vital role, offering up to 10% energy savings and 20% lower maintenance costs. Running at high speeds with low twist levels boosts productivity, while the Saurer compact system ensures optimised raw material usage – reducing excess mixing costs.”

The Zinser 51 redefines the spinning landscape, delivering the performance, flexibility, and innovation today’s textile industry demands.
