Sutlej Textiles Reports Stable Q1, Wins Industry Awards
Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd has announced its financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2024. For Q1FY25, the standalone total income remained stable at Rs 659 crore, consistent with Q4FY24, and down 0% from FY24. EBITDA was Rs 26 crore, with a margin of 4.0%, up from Rs 17 crore and 2.6% in the previous quarter. Profit Before Depreciation and Tax (PBDT) and Profit After Tax (PAT) showed fluctuations, with PAT dropping to Rs -15 crore from Rs -2 crore in Q4FY24.
Consolidated results mirrored the standalone performance, with total income at Rs 665 crore, EBITDA increasing to Rs 25 crore with a margin of 3.8%, and PAT improving to Rs -2 crore.
Executive Chairman C. S. Nopany commented on the challenging environment, noting the impact of geopolitical tensions, increased freights and supply chain disruptions on the textile industry. Despite these hurdles, he expressed confidence in the company’s ability to navigate the difficulties due to its robust foundation and customer-centric approach.
Sutlej Textiles also received several prestigious awards, including the Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) Gold Trophy for synthetic & rayon dyed yarns and the Rajasthan state government’s Lifetime Achievement Export Ratan Award. Additionally, the company was recognized by the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL) with a Gold Trophy for the highest exports of processed cotton yarn.
