Thailand Introduces Textiles Product Quality Mark
The Thailand government has started an initiative to increase the quality of Thailand manufactured textiles products and has launched the Thai Textiles Product Quality Mark or the Thailand Textiles Tag.
The Thailand Textiles Tag which is a certification mark; will be given to those textile products which are manufactured in Thailand and have been produced as per standards mandated by the government.
The initiative is aimed at increasing confidence among domestic as well as overseas buyers for ‘Made in Thailand’ textile products.
The Ministry of Industry which is spearheading the project will appoint consultants who in turn will guide textile products manufacturers in getting the tag for their companies.
Textile manufacturers of products who can apply for the tag include yarns, fabrics, garments and home textiles or any other textile product.
