TMMA Announces Winners Of Export And R&D Awards For 2023-24
The Textile Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (TMMA) recently held its Export Excellence and R&D Awards ceremony, celebrating outstanding contributions from member companies in the textile machinery industry.
Export Excellence Awards: A total of 32 nominations were received across 11 categories, resulting in 11 winners and 2 joint winners.
The Apex Export Award was awarded to Rieter India Pvt. Ltd., Pune, recognized for an impressive turnover of Rs 2,273 crore, with exports totaling Rs 747 crore.
Segment Export Awards included:
- Machinery Sector: Joint winners Saurer Textile Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd.
- Parts & Accessories Sector: Winner Lakshmi Card Clothing Mfg. Co. Pvt. Ltd.
- Textile Testing Instruments: Premier Evolvics Pvt. Ltd.
Special Export Awards recognized:
- Spinning Machinery: Kirloskar Toyota Textile Machinery Pvt. Ltd.
- Synthetic Machinery: Sieger Spintech Equipments Pvt. Ltd.
- Weaving: Bhagat Textile Engineers.
- Processing Machinery: Colorjet India Ltd.
- Small Scale Sector (Machinery): Yamuna Machine Works Ltd.
- Small Scale Sector (Parts & Accessories): Joint winners Inspiron Engineering Pvt. Ltd. and The Indian Card Clothing Company Ltd.
Research & Development Awards: Seven member companies submitted nominations for eight R&D initiatives. Three received the Innovation Award:
- Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. for the “Ring Frame Auto Piecer (RAP),” enhancing yarn quality by eliminating contamination.
- Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. for the “Draw Frame LDF3 2S,” featuring advanced drive arrangements for precision.
- The Indian Card Clothing Co. Ltd. for developing a metallic wire with a variable tip design, reducing fibre rupture.
Additionally, several companies received Certificates of Appreciation for their innovative projects, including Stovec Industries Limited for their development of “Eucalyptus,” Sieger Spintech Equipments Pvt. Ltd. for “Integrated C2C (Cone to Container),” and Colorjet India Limited for their “Earth 32 Series.”
The awards celebrate the achievements and innovation within the textile machinery sector, highlighting the industry’s commitment to excellence and advancement.
