Trident Commissions World’s Fifth Largest Solar Project

Gensol Engineering has commissioned a 10.6 MW rooftop solar project for Trident Ltd. in Madhya Pradesh, which ranks among the top five biggest rooftop solar ventures globally.

Gensol Engineering Ltd is a leading player in solar power EPC services and electric mobility and the solar rooftop project exceeds 70,000 square metres.

“This project marks a major milestone for both companies, showcasing Gensol’s expertise in sustainable energy solutions and propelling Trident towards its clean energy goals,” Gensol said in a filing.

The project utilises high-efficiency Bi-facial solar modules, strategically chosen to maximise energy output and ensure long-term durability.

Equipped with close to 20,000 solar panels, the rooftop solar plant is estimated to generate enough clean energy to offset close to a staggering 11,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

“By significantly reducing its reliance on fossil fuels for power generation, Trident has demonstrated environmental stewardship and contribute towards a cleaner future,” the filing added.

“This project ranks among the top five biggest rooftop solar ventures globally utilising a rooftop area exceeding 70,000 square metres,” Ali Imran Naqvi, CEO (EPC Business), Gensol said.

“This massive project is a testament to Gensol’s commitment to cutting-edge solutions and our ability to execute complex projects at scale,” he added.

“We are proud to collaborate with Trident on this achievement, which not only positions them as a leader in sustainable manufacturing but also sets a powerful example for other industries worldwide,” Naqvi stated.”
