Uzbekistan Boosts Textile Footprint In Russia
A delegation led by Okibjon Inamov, Deputy Governor of Uzbekistan’s Namangan region, has arrived in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, to advance bilateral cooperation. The visit follows earlier discussions on October 21–22 during the second Council of Regions of Russia and Uzbekistan, where Namangan Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzakov met with Bashkortostan Head Radiy Khabirov, according to reports from Uzbek media.
The talks held highlighted that several Namangan-based textile companies are in the final stages of establishing trade houses and retail outlets in Bashkortostan. Aisha Home Textile, one of the region’s leading manufacturers, has already opened its first official store in Ufa’s MEGA shopping centre. On November 18, the company inaugurated its official showroom at the same location, with Khabirov, Inamov, and other officials in attendance.
The delegation noted that the new trade house in Ufa provides a strong platform for promoting Uzbek textile products in the region by enabling direct customer access, lowering logistics costs and improving real-time analysis of market trends and consumer preferences.
