Uzbekistan Textile & Apparel Exports Increase 14.7% In Q1

In the first three months of ongoing year, Uzbekistan exported textiles and apparels totaling to US $775.7 million, up 14.7 percent over the same quarter of previous year.

“Of overall textile and garment exports, the primary share was garnered by finished textile products like apparels, etc at 37.7 percent and yarn at 46.8 percent,” the Uzbek statistics agency reported.

By products, yarn exports stood at $363.4 million, finished textile products at $292.5 million, knitted fabrics at $69 million, woven fabrics at $39.3 million and hosiery products at $11.5 million.

In the reporting quarter, the Uzbekistan textile and clothing industry exported their products to 55 countries.
