Vipul Organics Starts Production At Sayakha Plant

Specialty chemicals company Vipul Organics Limited has commenced commercial production at its greenfield manufacturing facility in Sayakha, Gujarat, marking the transition of the site from construction to commercial operations.

The company inaugurated the facility with a formal Muhurat ceremony. As part of its footprint-rationalisation strategy, Vipul Organics is consolidating pigment manufacturing from its Tarapur facility in Maharashtra into Sayakha.

The new facility has been designed to support more than 3,600 tonnes per annum (TPA) of pigment production, providing capacity for future expansion. Production will initially begin at around 1,800 tonnes.

Spread across 24,633.11 sq. metres, the facility is located on land acquired from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) within Gujarat’s Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR). Its location along the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, close to the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor and adjacent to Dahej Port, is expected to strengthen the company’s domestic and export logistics.

The Sayakha site is being developed as a consolidated manufacturing hub. In addition to pigment powder production, it houses the membrane manufacturing operations of Vipul Organics’ unit AdiMem Technologies, which commenced commercial sales of reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) membranes earlier this year.

Vipul P. Shah, Managing Director, Vipul Organics Limited, said the commencement of production at Sayakha marks a defining milestone in the company’s growth journey. He said the facility would expand pigment capacity, consolidate manufacturing capabilities and provide a strategically located base to serve domestic and international customers.

The commissioning comes as Vipul Organics continues to expand its product portfolio and international presence. Recent developments include an exclusive European distribution partnership with Omya Group for its pigment ranges and the commercial launch of its indigenously developed membrane solutions under AdiMem Technologies.

With Sayakha now operational, the company expects the facility to support the growth of its pigments, dyes and membrane businesses while contributing to capacity expansion and revenue diversification during FY 2026-27.
