Winners Of The ITMF Awards 2024 Announced
The International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) has announced the winners of the ITMF Awards 2024 in two distinct categories: ITMF Sustainability & Innovation Award and the ITMF International Collaboration Award. The award recipients will present their groundbreaking projects at the ITMF & IAF Conference 2024, scheduled to take place from September 8-10, 2024, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The conference will be co-hosted by the Uzbek Textile & Apparel Industry Association (UZTS).
ITMF Sustainability & Innovation Award
This award recognizes outstanding achievements in sustainability and innovation within the textile industry, with a focus on innovation, design, development and production, while adhering to the highest environmental standards. The winners for 2024 are:
- GuoWang High-Technique Fiber Company (China) – Low-carbon and sustainable innovation in PET fibre industry
- HeiQ AeoniQ Holding AG (Switzerland) – Hyperscaling HeiQ AeoniQ
- Samsara Eco (Australia) – Infinite plastic recycling: a solution for end-of-life textiles
ITMF International Cooperation Award
This award honours progress in international collaboration in the textile industry, in alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The winners for 2024 are:
- DITF (Germany) and RBX Creations (France) – Next generation cellulosic filaments from hemp
- HKRITA (Hong Kong, China – Open lab
These awards highlight the textile industry’s commitment to sustainability and global collaboration, showcasing innovations and cooperative efforts that drive progress towards a more sustainable future.
