Yamuna Machine Works Unveils Advanced Continuous Wet Processing Machine Range At ITMA Asia + CITME 2025

India-based Yamuna Machine Works Ltd introduced its advanced version of the Continuous Wet Processing Range at ITMA Asia + CITME 2025, designed specifically for delicate fabrics, including elastane and knitted fabrics, with focus on man-made fibres.

According to Mukesh Mangukia, Director of Yamuna Machine Works, the newly upgraded machine reflects the company’s response to shifting textile trends.

“As the industry moves from cotton to man-made fibres, we needed to enhance our machines to meet these new processing challenges,” he said. “Our focus has been on sustainability, reducing water usage and minimizing carbon footprint.”

The machine features a software-driven water management system, allowing automatic control of water intake based on pre-set operator parameters. This ensures optimal water consumption throughout the washing and pre-treatment processes.

Key upgrades include:

  • Reduced liquor ratio, resulting in lower water use during filling and draining.
  • High-pressure water jet sprays, improving washing efficiency and fabric handling for synthetics.
  • Electronic load cell controls, ensuring gentle treatment of delicate fibres such as nylon and aramid.

Mangukia stated that the model has already been tested and validated in production, achieving an additional 7–8% water savings compared to the previous generation.

“The improvements are significant, yet the cost difference from our earlier model is marginal,” he added.

By combining precision control with sustainable operation, Yamuna Machine Works continues to strengthen its leadership in continuous wet processing technology, helping textile mills achieve greater efficiency with reduced environmental impact.
