Bharat Tex 2024: Paving The Way For India’s Global Leadership In Textiles
Bharat Tex 2024, the world’s largest textile event, is all set to bolster India’s textile industry. Union Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated the curtain-raiser event at Vanijya Bhavan, New Delhi, commending the industry for its visionary initiative.
Goyal highlighted that this event represents India’s commitment to becoming a global textile powerhouse. It embodies the “Make in India” spirit and the 5F vision – Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign. The minister urged the industry to build their brands and promote India as a brand on the global stage.
The event, scheduled for 26-29 February 2024 in New Delhi, is expected to be the world’s largest textile expo, featuring exhibitors and buyers from over 40 countries. It will showcase the entire textile value chain, from India’s cultural heritage to technological innovations.
With over 1,000 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors from 40 countries, it will include exhibition s, knowledge sessions, buyer meets, seminars, strategic announcements and collaborative efforts to redefine the global textile industry. The event will also feature live demonstrations, cultural events, fashion presentations and sustainability workshops.
Rachna Shah, Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, highlighted the event’s immersive nature and its ability to bring together industry leaders. This industry-led initiative is organized by 11 textile-related Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies.
Bharat Tex 2024 is poised to propel India’s textile industry to the forefront of the global stage, promoting innovation, collaboration and India as a brand.
