IBIA EXPO: Elevating The Turkish Mattress Industry To Global Heights
Contributing to the mattress production sector, which has a potential worth of 40 billion dollars and employs around 25 thousand people, the Turkish mattress industry holds the 14th position in the global production and export rankings. In the broader bed sub-industry sector in Turkey, production is expected to reach 4 billion dollars by the end of 2023, with exports totaling 3 billion dollars.
The IBIA EXPO, organized for the second time this year by BİFAŞ in collaboration with IBIA (International Mattress Industry Association), will open its doors to industry professionals and thousands of visitors at the Istanbul Expo Center between September 28 and October 1, 2023. This event, as the only fair of its kind in Turkey, is the largest in Eurasia and the second-largest globally. In addition to being an international trade fair in the IBIA EXPO field, it will bring together a wide range of innovative products and technologies under one roof, including mattress production lines, bed cover fabrics, adhesives and chemicals, sponges, felts, recycling materials, home textiles, quilts, pillow production lines, mattress packaging machines, sponge machines, quilt machines, spring typesetting machines, mattress capsules, plinths, and mobile mechanisms.
IBIA EXPO 2023, organized by BİFAŞ, and chaired by Ümit Vural, has rapidly gained international recognition as the sole fair in its field. Bedding manufacturers from Turkey and around the world visit IBIA EXPO to enhance production efficiency and trade volume. Professional visitors, mostly high-level company owners, attend IBIA EXPO with the goal of conducting business deals. Senior executives, general managers, purchasing and financing managers come to explore new technologies and products on-site, expanding their trade networks at IBIA EXPO. In short, the industry keeps a close eye on all newly developed products and more at IBIA EXPO. This year, our fair is preparing to host more than 35 thousand domestic and foreign buyers from over 100 countries. One of our primary objectives is to help the Turkish mattress sub-industry sector, which holds a significant place in the world, establish a stronger global brand presence.
With more than 22 thousand domestic and foreign buyers from 91 countries in attendance in 2022, this year’s event is expected to host over 300 brands on a 35 thousand m2 area. IBIA Expo 2023 aims to bring together professionals from the mattress sub-industry, machinery, and equipment sectors, serving as an export platform for showcasing the latest technologies. Professional buyers will visit the fair alongside special procurement committees from 14 target countries, primarily from the Middle East, Europe, America, China, Russia, Turkic Republics, Europe, the Middle East, America, Africa, and the Balkans.
