ITMA ASIA + CITME Singapore Edition Sees Strong Industry Response

The Singapore edition of ITMA ASIA + CITME concluded successfully on 31 October 2025, marking a notable return to the city-state after earlier shows in 2001 and 2005. The four-day exhibition, held at Singapore Expo, drew praise from exhibitors and visitors for its international participation and high-quality business engagement.
The event attracted more than 26,600 visitors from 109 countries and regions, reaffirming its position as one of Asia’s most influential exhibitions for textile and garment technologies. Overseas visitors accounted for around 92% of total attendance, led by India (19%), China (11%) and Indonesia (10%), followed by Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Organisers CEMATEX, China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and CCPIT TEX credited the strong turnout to Singapore’s strategic location, efficient connectivity and business-friendly environment.
Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, said exhibitors reported meaningful discussions and serious buying interest, which helped foster optimism despite global economic challenges. CTMA President Gu Ping noted that the show reflected the rapid growth and diversification of Asia’s textile industry, particularly in Southeast Asia, East Asia and the Middle East.
Exhibitors reported positive outcomes. Tobias Schaefer, Vice President of Andritz Nonwoven & Textile, highlighted the event as a ‘pivotal platform’ that brought together a global audience with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability. Pierret Industries’ Sales & Marketing Manager, Stephane Picard, said the visitor quality exceeded expectations, especially from Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Canlar Mekatronik Board Member Kaan Cakici added that the show generated “serious enquiries and confirmed business deals.”
The edition also drew a significant Indian delegation led by Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Speaking at the event and the co-located ITMA Sustainability Forum, Kansal emphasised India’s push toward innovation-led and environmentally responsible textile growth.
Spanning over 70,000 square metres, the exhibition featured more than 840 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, showcasing technologies across the textile and garment manufacturing value chain.
The next edition of ITMA ASIA + CITME is scheduled to take place in Shanghai, China, from 20 to 24 November 2026.
