Karl Mayer Offering Digital Transformation Solutions At ITMA

At ITMA 2023 in Hall B4, Stall B119, knitting machines specialist and Germany based Karl Mayer, will offer digital transformation solutions, which will help knitters tackle, intense changes and thereby use these challenges as opportunities.

To maximise productivity, Karl Mayer is developing smart machine functions that exploit the potential of digitalisation and revolutionise pattern change in warp knitting through cloud-based patterning.

High-performance tricot machines of the digital generation such as the HKS 3-M ON work with pattern data from the cloud instead of pattern discs and, thus, offer unique flexibility. Additionally, patterns are 100% reproducible and without any manual adjustments.

Innovations with smart machine theme include a CANopen interface that allows a bidirectional communication between electronic feed wheels and the machine, centrally through machine program, which has a higher data transfer rate.

This fusion ensures reliable guidance and precise in-feed of special and demanding yarns, thus making high-quality goods possible.

The company also offers software products at different levels of the design process of warp knitted and flat knitted goods, which include 3D simulations of designed flat knitted items, made possible by means of appropriate external software.

Digital solutions which focus on analysis of production data will also be available in future. Karl Mayer is showing a prototype, which makes it possible for warp knitting customers to use real-time information on the energy consumption of their machines

Karl Mayer has developed a Digital Production Management (DPM) which offers a software solution to facilitate and improve the management of a warp knitting textile factory.

With real-time insights, streamlined processes, and optimal resource allocation, DPM enables data-driven decision making and agile adaptation to market demands, helping knitters achieve sustainable success and growth.
