Kontoor Brands Appoints Tom Waldron As COO

Kontoor Brands, a leading global lifestyle apparel company known for iconic brands like Wrangler and Lee, has appointed Tom Waldron as Chief Operating Officer, effective March 19, 2024. This strategic move aligns with Kontoor’s ongoing efforts to streamline operations and enhance efficiency under Project Jeanius.

Scott Baxter, President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chair of Kontoor Brands, emphasized the significance of Waldron’s appointment in advancing the company’s operating model and fostering growth and value creation. Waldron, who brings three decades of experience to his new role, will oversee global operations for both Wrangler and Lee, as well as the company’s global supply chain operations.

Baxter praised Waldron’s leadership, citing his instrumental role in driving growth and profitability for the Wrangler brand amidst a challenging global landscape. Waldron expressed enthusiasm for expanding his role within Kontoor Brands and reiterated his commitment to enhancing operating efficiency and driving future growth.

As part of its transformation initiative, Kontoor Brands has appointed Jenni Broyles as EVP, Global Brands President, Wrangler & Lee, and Ezio Garciamendez as EVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer. Broyles, who previously served as SVP of Wrangler, brings extensive experience in brand management and marketing to her new role. Garciamendez, who joined Kontoor Brands in 2022, has been pivotal in optimizing the company’s supply chain processes.

Waldron expressed confidence in Broyles and Garciamendez, emphasizing their leadership qualities as they take on expanded roles in driving business transformation and efficiency. Meanwhile, Christopher Waldeck, previously EVP and Co-Chief Operating Officer, Global Brand President for Lee, will be stepping down from his role but will remain with Kontoor Brands until June to ensure a smooth transition.
