MAS Holdings Plans Vertically Integrated Textile Unit In Odisha

In a meeting with Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Mahesh Amalean, Chairman of Sri Lankan company MAS Holdings, expressed intent to set up an integrated textile unit in the state.

MAS is interested in setting up an integrated textile and apparel manufacturing facility in Khurda region of the state, which will provide employment to more than 5,000 people.

“Naveen Patnaik offered full and possible support to MAS Holdings. Support will include developing an industrial eco-system and offering skill development training to workers,” ANI reported.

MAS Holdings is one of the biggest garment and clothing accessories exporter from Sri Lanka and already operates factories in India

The Sri Lankan company operates multiple manufacturing locations in India, which provides access to key export markets as well as the big Indian consumer market.
