MATEXIL Members Receive Strong Response At Heimtextil 2025

The participation of members of Manmade and Technical Textiles Exports Promotion Council (MATEXIL) at Heimtextil 2025 in Frankfurt has elicited encouraging response. MATEXIL members participating in the exhibition reported receiving quality inquiries from buyers, especially from the European market. A. Ravi Kumar, Executive Director of MATEXIL, stated, “The feedback from our exhibitors has been quite encouraging, with good inquiries coming from quality buyers. Overall, it has been a satisfactory experience.”
European buyers, particularly from Germany and France, made up the majority of visitors engaging with MATEXIL exhibitors. “Most of the buyers are coming from Europe, which remains a key market for our members,” he added.
Kumar also pointed out a noticeable trend at the exhibition—buyers are increasingly focusing on sustainability and compliance with environmental regulations. “While design and quality remain critical, suppliers and exporters must now address environmental concerns and comply with new laws. This is a challenge the industry must adapt to,” he said.
In addition to Heimtextil, Kumar discussed the growing prominence of Bharat Tex, India’s flagship textile event organized by MATEXIL. “Bharat Tex has gained global recognition and is now proudly the world’s largest textile show. Unlike events that focus on specific segments, Bharat Tex covers the entire value chain – from fibre and yarn to garments, dyes and machinery,” he stated. The event has seen overwhelming interest this year, with more exhibitors and an expanded product range. “This year, Bharat Tex is overbooked, and the traction it has gained globally is evident as people abroad are enquiring about it,” he added.
With MATEXIL’s success at Heimtextil and BharatTex’s rising global appeal, the council continues to play a vital role in showcasing India’s textile industry to the world.
