Prabhavishhnu Impex’s Focus Is On Making 100% ‘Made In India’ Hemp To Reduce Dependency On Foreign Imports: Bijal Bhavsar

Prabhavishhnu Impex is highlighting its expertise in sustainable textile solutions by showcasing 100% linen fibres, fabrics and linen-blended yarns at Bharat Tex 2025. These products cater to the growing demand for high-quality materials in the apparel and garment industry. The company specializes in blending linen fibres with cotton and Excel, ensuring versatility and enhanced fabric performance.

Bijal Bhavsar, Managing Director, , emphasized the company’s focus on sustainability and innovation. “We take linen by-products from Indian spinners like Grasim and Golden Fiber, clean them, and make the fibre reusable. This recycling process not only reduces waste, but it also ensures that India’s currency remains within the country instead of being spent on imports,” he explained.

The company is also pioneering hemp fibre production in India, sourcing raw materials from Uttarakhand. The hemp undergoes a process where seeds are removed, and the skin is separated, retted, and converted into fibre. This fibre is then processed on a cotton spinning system, making it blendable with cotton and other fibres. “Our focus is on making 100% Made in India hemp, reducing dependency on foreign imports,” Bhavsar added.

Prabhavishhnu Impex caters to major Indian brands like Grasim, Raymond, Golden Fiber, and Sangam, ensuring that premium linen and blended textiles are available domestically, rather than relying on imports. The company also serves international clients across Spain, France, Belgium, Russia and Brazil, with growing interest in recycled linen fabrics.

The response at Bharat Tex has been highly positive, with strong engagement from both Indian and international buyers. Bhavsar noted that recycled linen offers a cost advantage over virgin linen, making it a more accessible yet eco-friendly alternative for global markets.
