Minister Of Textiles Inaugurates India Pavilion At Heimtextil 2025, Frankfurt

India highlighted its growing strength in the textile industry as the Hon’ble Minister of Textiles inaugurated the India Pavilion at Heimtextil 2025, held at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. Representing the largest country participation at this prestigious global home textiles fair, India showcased its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships.
The Minister addressed a global audience of home textile exporters, importers, and manufacturers, emphasizing India’s growing competitiveness and urging collaboration for sustainable growth. The Minister also extended an invitation to participating countries to attend Bharat Tex 2025 and explore the vast investment opportunities in India’s thriving textile ecosystem.
During the Investors’ Meet with textile and machinery manufacturers, the Minister highlighted India’s growth trajectory and the rise in FDI over the past decade. He underlined the success of the ‘Make in India’ initiative, which has positioned the country as a competitive manufacturing hub. Addressing global investors, the Minister remarked, “Come and invest in India – Make in India, Make for the World.”
He urged stakeholders to capitalize on India’s burgeoning opportunities, warning of the risks of missing out on one of the fastest-growing markets.
On the sidelines of Heimtextil, the Minister engaged with the Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Association and IVGT, Germany, calling for deeper collaboration with India’s textile sector. He emphasized that India, as one of the largest textile machinery buyers, offers immense potential for German manufacturers to invest and produce locally. Highlighting the success of a German sewing thread manufacturer thriving in India, he encouraged others to expand their investments in the Indian market, noting the mutual benefits of such partnerships.
The government has been proactive in supporting Indian exporters’ participation in international events like Heimtextil, bolstering their global visibility and competitiveness.
During the visit, the Minister toured various stalls, interacting with exhibitors to understand their latest innovations and offerings in home textiles. The intricate craftsmanship and innovative designs of Indian exporters reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the sector’s global aspirations.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from industry leaders and exporters, underscoring India’s determination to solidify its position as a global leader in the textile industry.
The Indian delegation, led by the Minister, included Mr. Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, the Consul General of India in Germany, and other Ministry officials. Representatives from five Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and the Jute Board showcased a diverse range of products, further demonstrating India’s rich textile heritage and innovation.
