Puma Announces Departure Of Johan Adamsson

Sports company Puma has announced that Johan Adamsson, Vice President, Global Sports Marketing & Sports Licensing, will leave the company after more than 25 years of service for personal reasons. He will step down from his role on August 31, 2026.

During his long tenure at Puma, Adamsson played a key role in developing the company’s Sports Marketing organisation and was involved in building several athlete, team and federation partnerships that strengthened Puma’s position as a global sports brand.

“Throughout his career at Puma, Johan has played an important role in the development of our Sports Marketing organization and contributed to many of the athlete, team and federation partnerships that have helped strengthen Puma’s position as a global sports brand,” said Puma CEO Arthur Hoeld. “I would like to thank him for his commitment and dedication and wish him every success for the future.”

Until a successor is appointed, Hoeld will assume interim responsibility for Sports Marketing and oversee all related activities.

Reflecting on his departure, Adamsson said he was grateful for his journey at Puma and proud to have been part of the brand’s growth and its involvement in major global sporting events.

“It has been a true privilege to be part of such an iconic brand, to experience some of the world’s greatest sporting events and, most importantly, to work alongside so many exceptional and inspiring people,” he said.
