Rajapalayam Mills Ltd Commissions New Fabric Expansion And Processing Units
Rajapalayam Mills Ltd commissioned its Fabric Expansion Unit and Fabric Processing Unit for commercial production on September 1, 2023. The new unit features a weaving capacity of 166 looms and a fabric processing capacity of 50,000 metres per day. This expansion enables the company to provide finished, ready-to-stitch apparel fabrics to its customers.
To ensure a pollution-free environment and uphold their commitment to sustainability, the unit is equipped with the following features:
- A zero liquid discharge system with anaerobic bio-treatment infrastructure, designed to significantly reduce the generation of hazardous chemical sludge.
- Heat recovery technology that captures heat from exhaust stenter hot air and hot water drain, enhancing energy efficiency.
As of August 31, 2023, the project cost for both the Fabric Expansion and Fabric Processing Units amounted to Rs 332 crore.
