SASMIRA Signs MoU With TERI To Advance Sustainable Textile Innovation
SASMIRA has taken a major step forward in its sustainability journey by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The partnership aims to drive joint research and innovation in environment, climate change, sustainable textiles and green technologies.
The collaboration combines TERI’s national leadership in sustainability with SASMIRA’s technical strength in textiles and technical textiles. Together, the two organisations will work to enhance industry capabilities in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), carbon footprinting, circularity and eco-friendly material development, critical pillars for the future of responsible manufacturing.
This MoU marks an important milestone in SASMIRA’s mission to establish itself as a world-class centre for textile sustainability and to support India’s transition toward greener, more competitive and resilient textile value chains.
