Textiles Secretary Reviews Infrastructure Progress At Dhar’s PM MITRA Park

Textiles Secretary Neelam Shami Rao reviewed the progress of infrastructure development at the PM MITRA Park Dhar during a visit with the NICDC team, stressing the need for timely and quality-driven execution of ongoing works.
Officials informed that key water supply and electricity infrastructure projects are nearing completion, while internal development activities such as plot levelling, construction of over 10 km of roads and electrical network installation are progressing rapidly.
During the review, the Textiles Secretary emphasized the need to strengthen textile value chain skilling through a dedicated ITI and called for improved raw material availability, investor facilitation and better rail connectivity for the park.
She also directed officials to prepare proposals for an ESIC hospital and an R&D centre ahead of full-scale industrial operations to support product development and sampling activities within the integrated textile ecosystem.
Rao further stressed regular project monitoring through photography, drone documentation, audits and material testing, while ensuring efficient utilisation of industrial land.
The visit reflects the government’s continued focus on developing PM MITRA Parks as integrated textile manufacturing hubs aimed at boosting investment, employment generation and sustainable industrial growth.
