Türkiye And Lithuania Sign MoU To Boost Trade And Investment Ties

Türkiye and Lithuania have agreed to deepen economic cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) and the Association of Lithuanian Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (ALCCIC), Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced on X.
The agreement was signed alongside a broader bilateral cooperation pact covering trade, investment, industry, and innovation during the Türkiye–Lithuania Business Roundtable Meeting held in Istanbul under the Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) framework. The meeting was co-chaired by Bolat and Lithuania’s Minister of Economy and Innovation Edvinas Grikšas, with support from DEIK and ALCCIC.
The discussions focused on strengthening business-to-business engagement and expanding Turkish participation in Lithuania’s upcoming infrastructure and development projects, including major initiatives such as Rail Baltica and the Southport Project in Klaipėda.
Bolat said both sides reviewed business expectations and future cooperation plans, emphasizing opportunities for Turkish overseas contracting firms in Lithuania’s infrastructure sector.
The two countries have set an ambitious target of increasing bilateral trade to $2 billion, reflecting a shared intent to expand commercial ties and investment flows in the coming years.
