Hohenstein Launches Global Size Study To Improve Apparel Fit Accuracy

Hohenstein Apparel Fit Solutions has launched a new Global Size Study aimed at helping fashion brands improve apparel fit, grading and sizing accuracy across international markets.
The initiative combines targeted body measurement analysis with Hohenstein’s network of more than 1,000 professional fit models to provide brands with practical sizing insights tailored to regional consumer requirements.
Developed in collaboration with Sizekick, the study uses a digital-first approach that enables consumers to participate through smartphone-based and in-store measurement experiences.
According to Simone Morlock, the project is designed to help brands make more informed fit decisions in increasingly fragmented global markets.
“Fit remains one of the biggest challenges in our industry,” Morlock said. “The goal is more accurate fit, stronger consumer alignment and better market coverage.”
Unlike traditional size surveys that often take years to produce usable results, Hohenstein said the new model is intended to deliver continuous and actionable sizing insights that brands can implement more efficiently.
The study focuses on key garment measurement areas, including bust, chest, waist, hip and height, enabling brands to better understand regional body variations, refine grading systems and improve fit consistency across product categories.
David Oldeen said the collaboration combines AI-powered body measurement technology with Hohenstein’s fit expertise to turn body data into practical sizing solutions.
The Global Size Study is scheduled to roll out globally from mid-2026, with initial brand partnerships already underway.
