Sutlej Textiles Returns To Profitability In Q1 FY27; EBITDA Surges Over 9x

Sutlej Textiles and Industries Ltd, one of India’s leading manufacturers of value-added dyed yarns, home textiles and green fibre, reported a sharp improvement in performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, marking a significant turnaround in profitability.
The company’s standalone total income increased 16.5% year-on-year to Rs 704 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 604 crore in the corresponding period last year. EBITDA surged more than nine-fold to Rs 47 crore from Rs 5 crore, while EBITDA margin expanded to 6.7% from 0.8%.
Profit before tax (PBT) stood at Rs 4 crore against a loss of Rs 39 crore in Q1 FY26, while the company reported a net profit of Rs 3 crore compared to a net loss of Rs 26 crore a year earlier.
The improved performance was driven by a higher share of value-added products, an enhanced product mix, disciplined cost management and operational efficiencies across manufacturing operations. Continued focus on productivity, energy efficiency and customer-centric innovation also contributed to margin expansion.
Commenting on the results, C.S. Nopany, Executive Chairman, said the company’s strategic focus on operational excellence, value-added offerings, innovation and disciplined capital allocation has helped restore profitability and strengthen business resilience.
